| Biographie / CV | Past Experiences:2007-2008: Scientific Assistant, The Rolex Awards for EnterpriseMy main task was to evaluate projects submitted to the Awards in different areas: Science, Medicine or Technology. I had to review background information on given topics(ex: sickle cell disease), contact experts and interview candidates.2002-2006: PhD University of GenevaThe goal of my PhD research project was to investigate the role of mitochondria in programmed cell death. Part of this project was done in collaboration with the Venetian Institute of Molecular Medicine, and I spent 18 months in an international environment, in Padua, Italy. I defended my thesis on the 25th of September 2006 and obtained a summa cum laude distinction. |
| Activité | I am currently working with the international and humanitarian medicine department of Geneva University Hospitals. I am in charge of setting up a phase 2 clinical trial in Southeast Nepal. The study objective is to compare the efficacy and safety of two dose regimens of Antivenom serum in the treatment of snake bites envenoming. We hope this study will help the revision of Nepal national guidelines for the management of snake bite victims.My job involved developing and writing trial protocol, designing data collection forms, co-ordinating with the ethics committee, managing regulatory authority applications and approvals, organising GCP training for investigators... |
