Mayara Fagundes

As Director of Communications and Public Relations for one of the largest public universities in the US, Ms. Plentz Fagundes wrote and produced a series of video interviews with faculty and researchers at Florida International University College of Engineering, highlighting scientific advances in nanotechnology, sustainable building practices, biomedical devices, structural engineering, clean energy sources, and ethanol production. Ms. Plentz Fagundes also implemented large scale events and managed digital content production and delivery to support key initiatives in public relations for the United Nations News and Media Division – Department of Public Information, in New York, Geneva, and The Hague. With her expertise in international media relations, broadcast production, and government relations, she led multicultural teams and developed communications strategies that increased awareness of issues and drove messages to the right audiences.
