Montserrat Jordi

Upon completion of a degree in Environmental Engineering (EPFL, 1996), Jordi joined ITV Geomatik AG, a Zürich based consulting company specialized in Geographical Information System. There, he evolved from programming to strategic consulting for information system and business reengineering on national and international projects.In 1999, Jordi completed a postgrade in Management of Technology at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL, HEC Lausanne and the Business School of Texas - Austin, TX). Upon completion of the program, he joined Xo3 SA, a Geneva based start-up developing tools for internet portals, where he hold the position of Business Development Officer, with responsibilities for marketing, sales and partnerships. He contributed to the obtainment of a 5 million CHF venture capital round, and was instrumental in the development of the company.At the end of 2001, he joined the EPFL Science Park (PSE) to take the responsibility of the high-tech coaching services. There, he was running the Spin-off and Start-up program of the EPFL, the FIT coaching (Fondation pour l’innovation Technologique), and active as CTI Start-up coach. Over 70 entrepreneurs benefited from his services, and 1/3 of them were entered in a comprehensive coaching program resulting in the creation of about 12 new ventures.Since March 2003, he joined Create Switzerland and then venturelab (c/o IFJ) as regional manager for the French part of Switzerland.Jordi fluently speaks and writes French, Spanish, English and German.
