Ole Petersen

Ole Petersen, Danish nationality, born 1961, studied economics at the University of Düsseldorf, made his business career in building up several distribution companies over Europe in the investment goods industry and finally led a Swiss company with 130 employees as CEO. Until the age of 30 he was a strong smoker, overweight and had several burnout-periods. Under these circumstances he changed his lifestyle and began running, lost weight and finished until 1999 over 40 IRONMAN competitions alongside work and family. Ole Petersen has set the Swiss record (39:33 h) for the triple IRONMAN distance (11.4k swim, 540k bike and 126k run) in 1997.  Today he runs the company fit im job AG based in Winterthur, specialises in workplace health promotion.. He is author of several books and also wrote the German bestseller „Marathon“. In 2004 he received the Swiss Innovation Award “Innovative enterpreneur 2004”.
